Frequently Asked Questions

1. What services does Ecoast Pool Service provide?

We provide weekly pool care, which includes seasonal openings, cleanups, and winterizations, and spa care on the same terms.

2. Do you offer one-time pool cleanings?

Not regularly, but we may be able to accommodate such a request depending on the time of the year.

3. Do you offer hot tub/spa maintenance?

Yes, we offer weekly spa maintenance under the same terms as our pool care plans. We encourage you to ask about our spa year round maintenance plans.

4. What areas do you service?

We currently service Cape May County only.

5. Are your pool treatments safe for kids and pets?

Yes! Our treatments are safe when used correctly, and we ensure proper dosing to maintain safe water quality.

6. What's your weekly pool service?

Our weekly service includes:

  • Water chemistry testing & balancing
  • Skimming, brushing, and vacuuming
  • Filter pressure checks & backwashing (as needed)
  • Equipment inspection (pumps, filters, heaters)
  • Enzyme dosing and sanitation adjustments

7. Do I need to be home for weekly service?

No, as long as we have access to your pool and equipment, we can service it without you being home.

8. What if it rains on my service day?

We still perform service unless severe weather (thunderstorms, high winds) prevents us from working safely. If we can’t service your pool during your typical service window, we will reschedule or adjust accordingly.

9. Will you add chemicals every visit?

Yes, as needed, we adjust sanitizers, pH, alkalinity, and enzymes. We do not overuse chemicals—our goal is healthy, balanced water with minimal chlorine demand.

10. When should I schedule my pool opening?

We will ask when you want to swim by and open your pool about 2-3 weeks before that swim ready by date to allow time for repairs, equipment replacement, or lengthy cleanup or water balance as needed.

12. What’s included in a pool closing?

Our winterization service includes:

  • Lowering water levels (if needed)
  • Draining and blowing out lines
  • Adjusting water chemistry
  • Removing ladders/handrails
  • Securing the pool cover

13. Do you service both chlorine and saltwater pools?

Yes, we service both traditional chlorine and saltwater pools. If you’re unsure which system is best, we can help evaluate your options.

14. Why does my pool still have algae even with chlorine?

Algae can still grow if your pH, phosphate levels, or filtration system is not clean or balanced. As part of our weekly service, we will perform phosphate treatments as needed to prevent algae growth. We also correct over-stabilization issues to maintain proper water balance and sanitizer effectiveness.

15. What additional treatment methods do you incorporate into your pool care process?

In addition to traditional pool chemicals, we incorporate enzymes and polymers to enhance water clarity and balance. We are always working towards more eco-friendly solutions as part of our commitment to responsible pool care.

16. How do I pay for service?

We accept credit card or ACH payments. Customers can either pay monthly (service contract broken up into 12 parts) or all at once.

17. Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, we require 30 days’ notice before the next billing cycle for the year.

18. What if I have a problem between service visits?

Contact us anytime! We’ll provide troubleshooting tips or schedule an additional visit if needed.

19. Do you offer warranties on equipment repairs?

We honor manufacturer warranties on parts we install. Service warranties vary by repair type.

Our quotes cover the installation of the specified pool equipment as outlined in the scope of work. It includes labor and materials necessary for proper installation but does not cover any unforeseen repairs, plumbing modifications, or electrical upgrades that may be required for compatibility with the existing pool system.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that their pool equipment and plumbing are in proper working order prior to installation. Any additional work required due to system incompatibility, pre-existing equipment malfunctions, or local code compliance will be quoted separately.

Manufacturer warranties apply to the installed equipment. Our company is not responsible for warranty claims, product defects, or issues arising from improper use, failure to maintain proper water chemistry, or lack of routine maintenance. Warranty coverage may be voided if installation and maintenance requirements are not met.

As part of our ongoing service each summer, we will monitor the equipment’s operation, maintain proper water chemistry, and perform necessary cleaning and maintenance. However, the customer remains responsible for maintaining proper water balance between service visits. Neglecting water chemistry may lead to equipment damage, which is not covered under this agreement.

By accepting our quote, the customer acknowledges that pool equipment requires routine maintenance, including regular monitoring, cleaning, and proper water chemistry management to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
